Ipod freezes. Please Help

My dad's ipod 20 gig freezes quite a bit. Usually during walking with it. I have to do a hard reset to bring it back. Anyone know if this problem is common with these units? I just updated the software to 1.26. Hope this solve the problem. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this issue?

i'd recommend doing a restore... it will erase the drive and reinstall the software

it worked for my problems, though only for a little while. that said, i have battery issues with my original 5 gig... so i'm sure your dad's is more reliable
