Or just go to www.ati.com and download their Radeon drivers. Those should work as well.

Or you could just panic and post about it on MacRumors.

Oh, wait.... :o

Hi,

Bootcamp works beautifully with the X1900XT, I spent all of yesterday working in XP.

The apple installer didn't install the graphics drivers properly itself, so here's what I did to make it work.

go to system in control panel, click hardware, click device manager

click display adaptors, it will probably have an exclamation point (but may not)

right click the device under display adaptors and select properties

click driver, click update driver

click no, next

click install from a list or location, next

click include this location... and select the apple driver. This is in c:\program files\apple mac drivers (or something like that, I'm doing this from memory)

click next and it should work.

the card definitely works 100% (and beautifully) with xp so keep trying.

Another option is go to program files/apple mac drivers, etc and then the ati folder, (there are 2, use the second one)

click setup and let that do its thing.

or get the latest drivers from the ati website like Wintrmte suggested.

Good luck!

How do those omega 6.7 drivers compare to the catalyst 6.8 ones?

Ive had similar problems: running a brand new 23" display and the screen goes blank when i start the windows installation. looks like it goes to sleep mode but is still on.

other people have reported the same thing, have anyone got a clue what to do about it??

did you try the other DVI port? Someone in another thread mentioned that.

The omega's are great. You should have no problems, but no real performance benefit that I can see.

It looks like the 23" does not like 640x480 AT ALL!! I couldn't get it to work until I put on my old 17" and then installed XP, installed the drivers (had to pull the ATI radeon drivers off the net and install manually)

once it booted up I switched to the 23" and it works! it had a little trouble coming out of sleep mode, but after a few reboots it seems to be working fine.

If you install the driver and it still won't get out of sleep you'll have to pull the plug and plug it back in. Not the best way, but that was the only way I could get it out of sleep mode and fully config'd.
