Is there a way to deny access or allow access to individual IP's using the firewall. Say like i want to allow IP adress a,b, and c, but deny Ip adress d.

If you prefer a GUI app that gives you greater control over the OSX firewall, use Flying Buttress (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/5742). It amends the same ipfw files as in the above link, but it easier to deal with until you get more confidence.
