No Educational Discount on Updated Ipods?

So it doesn't seem that Apple is offering any educational discounts on the updated iPods. In Canada they're showing up as $299 and $399 on both the educational discount page and the regular Apple Store page. Has this been the case in the past? Does it take some time before Apple tags discounts to new iPods for students?

I ordered a Pink iPod, don't ask, but there is not discount. I should however try using the educator discount but I was not thinking. Im both a student and a person who works at a school full time over the summers.

I noticed that when I was looking at the pricing. It miffed me a little bit. I would expect that there would be a discount on it, but I guess not. Apple must want as much money as possible out of the iPods.
