I saw this article and got a bit mad. Didn't we do just this when we left Afghanistan and the chase for OBL in order to go into Iraq? And now we've got Condoleeza Rice saying 'don't give up in Afghanistan'. It just made me mad and I thought I'd gauge others' thoughts on it here at MR.

Can't wait till this administration is packing their bags to leave Washington.

Condi's an effing sell-out.

I read it as a plea for help.

We're up to our armpits in Iraq, and can't handle any increased demands for our troops. We need more troops now! Someone suggested that Bush's daughters should be of enlistment age by now....maybe they should sign up!

In these cartoons, Condi seems like the nicer one of the bunch. ^_^

Technically she's not wrong, because it's just what we've been complaining about in Iraq: you leave a vacuum, and the terrorists fill it.

However...nice bit of Monday morning quarterbacking, Condi.

Not to mention hypocritical, as gauchogolfer said.

Not to also mention that our notion of filling the vacuum is almost as bad as the terrorist themselves.

(God, I'm such a blame-America-firster. )

Yeah. You first Condi. So long as you aren't too busy shoe shopping and playing tennis.
