Is there some way to hack into iTunes and remove the music store. It really annoys me that if it is touched by accident that it always connects to the store.

I just want to be rid of it.
Not that I've seen or heard of before. Surely someone else could give a definite. But now that the source list on the left is spread out more that should be much of an issue.

That was the first thing I did but the iTunes store still shows up and still connects. I've broken out the developer tools but I'm not sure where to start.
Is it really that much of a pain in the ass? "Control" your clicks my friend, unless you're having seizures.

Removes the store on my machine... (just leaves the purchased playlist).

Just to pose the standard question, which isn't as dumb as it might sound in this case: Did you repair permissions after installing iTunes 7? Several permissions was actually messed with during the install on all machines I've tried... :)

It's worse than that, apparently I have had a mini brain explosion and somehow I had checked the box off after checking it on. So it's it's all OK now.
