Downloaded it earlier today. Really can't see any differences between the 1.5 beta and the 2.0 beta.. hmm.. 2.0 ought to have big enhancements imo. :/

I've tried it and it's great, but the file sharing speed, if you can call it that (speed), is just stupid.
They claim that you can share files of any size, but the "speed" is just horrible. :(
The video part seems to work fine though. :) ;)

It has a 0.5 enhancement. It's also no longer being called a preview, it's a beta.

Well, I just started my old version of skype to check and it's called 1.5 beta.

I don't know if the 0.5 thing was a joke, my head hurts today. The leap from 1.5 to 2.0 ought to be big. So far I see no difference between the 1.5 beta and the 2.0 beta (probably bug-fixes and stuff, but nothing else.) The leap from 1.4 to 1.5 was big on the other hand.. But why would they skip 1.6 through 1.9 when there's no big difference?

The 1.5 release is official now, btw, and has everything minus the video.

Probably they just want version parity with the Windows numbering.

hmm.. but windows is at 2.5. I don't get this. But then again, there's a lot of things I don't get.. :)

is there a page to find more info re: skype 2.0? so, does it make me use my iSight and videochat with "normal" webcams?
