iTunes USA problems

I'm trying to sign up for iTunes USA (I'm from the UK buying US movies) but it wants a credit card. Now, I'm just buying gift certificates from American people and putting them on my Apple ID, but it won't let me register without entering a US credit card (which I don't have) or a US PayPal (which I don't have). Does anyone know what to do?

No I have friends who do that with no problem
 
If your only using cards/ gift certificartes you do not need to use a credit card. To do this simply click redeem (or something like that) on the iTunes store. It will then ask for your address and zip/post code however you can make one of these up.
It will not ask you for a credit card as the cards are used for people without them.
