Does the machine power up, or just no display on the LCD?

That it doesn't turn on. It shouldn't even be able to charge an iPod without turning on, unless there's something I don't know about Powerbooks.

Sounds like you broke something internally, mate.

Can you hear the HDD spinning? Any sound at all? If you can, then you broke the screen, but the machine may still be working. If NOTHING is turning on and you can still charge your iPod, you are screwed. Well. you are screwed either way. Go to an apple store and find out whats wrong. It won't be covered under applecare but you may get lucky and it'll be a cheap repair.
