What type of memory should I be looking for the above computer. The systems profiler says I have a DIMMO/j21 128MB PC100 in one slot. I am looking for the same...but I am not sure if I am choosing correctly. Thanks for some guidance.

Any PC100/133 SDRAM 168 pin will work with that system with up to 512 MB Chips. The system will only support up to 1.5 - 2 GB i think. (3 or 4 x 512 MB)

if you have a sawtooth, DA or other early G4 that has the 100mhz bus, the ram can go up to 512mb for each chip, but must NOT be of the HIGH-Density variety, meaning it has to have i/c chips on both sides of the board (which is the low density type). Other specs are: 3.3v, 168pin, SDRAM, 8ns.

You should be able to get used 512's (~$20-30) or 256's (~$10-15) here or over at mosr's marketplace forum, among others :) Not sure what they are going for new, but www.ramseeker.com is a good place to check prices.

OWC, DMS and many others online sell the right ones, & have configuration tools to help you too !
