Forbes released their annual list of the 400 richest Americans this morning. The Steve™ checks in at #49 this year with a net worth of $4.9 billion. In 2005 he was at #67 with a net worth of $3.3 billion. Apple and Pixar/Disney are certainly doing well for him...

I'll be honest, there aren't that many people in the top 50 who I've actually heard of (apart from the illustrious Mr Jobs, of course) – certainly no more than a dozen. I suppose I can't be mixing in the right circles...

Yeah, I think he owns something like 7% of Disney's stock, more than anyone elase. That alone will make you a pretty penny.

But still not as rich as Bill Gates, but much cooler and that's what counts.

I think the point was to show Jobs going up idealy means Apple going up(not saying it DOES mean that but we hope it does) And Mr. Jobs is "bitchin"(to use one of his own terms)
