Happen to know the speed of the DVD drive? (16x, 8x, 4x, etc)
If it's 16x, I'll take it.

edit: Is that 1GB RAM in one stick or 2x512?

I'll take the DVD ROM, and pass on the RAM. That is, unless nickelbackmac really wanted it.
Nickelbackmac: if this (http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/corporate/imagebank/desktops/dim_e310_300.jpg) is the e310 that you have, then i presume that yes it will. He would, i hope, have stated whether it was a slim drive or not. Let me/OP know if you want the drive, if not, i'll take it

Hmm... depends on if the drive can burn CD's as well. If not, it's all yours prodigiousfool. I'm a guy who loves to upgrade stuff, it's fun to me. Plus, burning 2 discs at once could be helpful. Very, very helpful with my frequent rpping/burning projects and music CD's.
Yes, that is my computer. I'm trying to get as much upgrades as possible without spending way too much so it could sell for a good price and hopefully get my first Intel Mac laptop. All I have is an iBook G3, and an Intel MM, everyone else in the household has MBP/MB but I stood out and decided to wait for Merom.
So does the RAM also work in the Dell? Then, I'd have 1.5GB RAM in my Dell, and if the drive burns CD's... Sweeettt... I can just see the bids, and the new MB's.

Will memory work in iBook G4
As I have read in this thread, no. It is 184-pin, I think that's too much for a laptop. I have a G3 iBook, that accepts 144-pin memory.
The OP's memory came from a PC, I presume.
BTW, it says desktop RAM.

I'm pretty sure the OP was for a DVD-ROM, not a DVD-RW. The DVD ROM is just a dvd drive/player...the DVD-RW would be the equivalent of a superdrive. If you look at his detailed description of the drive, there are only CD and DVD read times, not write times. In this case, unless the OP mis-posted, it isn't a superdrive, so it wouldn't burn CD's.

I don't care about DVD burning, just CD burning. Usually when I see a drive that can read DVD's it can also burn CD's.

Only if its a combo drive, which would have stats similar to this:
Cache: 1.5M
CD-R: 52X
CD-ROM: 52X
CD-ROM Access Time: 120ms
CD-RW: 32X
DVD-ROM: 16X
DVD-ROM Access Time: 140ms
Form Factor: 5"
Load Type: Tray

OK well since it doesn't burn CD's, you can take it.

Well I'll wait for the OP to verify this, and if it does burn CD's, it's yours, otherwise I'll go ahead and take it. :)

Should, but it will only run at PC2700, instead of PC3200 (Just a lowered FSB). I don't know if the high/low density that makes it incompatible with ASUS mobos will impact the mini, i think we would have heard about it before now.
