I have 2 more black iPod nano's (new generation, 8gb).

$239 Shipped anywhere in the U.S. w/ tracking. PM Me if interested! Save $40 over Apple or Best Buy. I accept and prefer paypal. References available...

(**edit** Since I am posting this on MR, and you are a member, take another $4 off the price bringing the total to $235 shipped. That's a sweet price!)

I might be interested, just wondering why you have two and want to sell them at such a great price?

Edit: Well, it might take a bit more thinking for me, since I can get a 60 gb white ipod video refurbished for $10 less than that.

I put them for sale on eBay, no worries. I have no doubts that they will sell at that price. I got credit @ the Apple Store and I really don't need anything so I bought some iPod nano's to resell. BTW, if anyone is local, price is $230 cash.

haha, yeah, same here. i qualify for the govt discount, so for 5 bucks more i could give my money to apple directly.

for the others, though, i guess saving $25 ain't bad. you'd have to have a pretty high tax rate, though, to be saving $40..

Actually, Apple offers NO discount on the new iPod's (edu, gov, etc.). They already lowered the price $50 from the previous iPod's. Also, if you want to pick up locally, $230 cash is the price. I only listed them at $245 to cover the the stupid eBay + paypal fees.

actually, they do. i JUST checked the govt store a moment ago to make the post. i get discounts on all of the new iPods. :D

but i'm not thread crapping.. no need to defend your prices! they're great, considering most people don't get any discounts, and these are exactly what you'd get from apple. $25 is a good bit of saving!

Apple EPP Offers Discounts for iPods. Listed as follow:

2GB Nano: $140
4GB Nano: $187
8GB Nano: $234
30GB iPod: $234
80GB iPod: $328

Everything else, cheaper to get through Student discount.

I didn't ask for a financial planner, I simply put up a FS thread. You like the price, fine... you don't, have a nice day. I personally am a student and have the 8gb nano myself, and I tried both online (through my school's store on apple.com) and in the retail store, and they would not knock off any discount. The price came out to $270+ w/ tax so $245 is a deal. Even if you somehow pay $234, add CA sales tax of 8.25% and you are at roughly $254. You still save....

Many people know this is a great price and I'm even willing to make a bet that they will both be sold by tomorrow evening. I had 3 other new gen ipod's for sale that sold within 3 hours of posting them on eBay. I was just trying to make some MR members aware of a good deal.

If you don't want/can't afford a nano, stop posting gibberish about a sale thread for one.

wickedG35, I was actually interested in the Nano until I read your reply at the end. Not a good way at all to handle some adversity in your thread. Good luck with the sale!

there shouldn't be any name calling or harsh words being said over someone trying to correct misinformation. You (WickedG35) posted that were no discounts available at all, someone correctly pointed out that this wasn't the case. As a macrumors member I appreciate honesty when dealing with other members of this forum, and I respect their right to point out something I say as incorrect.

There are those on this forum who like to lowball and try to berate a members stance on their price and they're dealt with accordingly by the mods.

This is a good forum for buying/selling apple(and apple related) hardware and software, let's try to keep it that way, thanks.

Thanks, but this should be an easy-going classified thread. I put a FS post for an MBP charger a couple of days ago, received a PM (yes, not even a reply expressing interest) that he would like to buy it and for my paypal info. The next day, it's in the mail. That's how a transaction should go for a NEW item.

$239 shipped is cheap no matter how you look at it. As I've said, even with the Government discount, you'd still be paying more after tax. I bought this at $270 and some change, selling them for $239 shipped. Take $6 or $7 for the paypal fee and $5 to get it shipped. In essence, I'm selling it $40 LESS than what I paid for it.

Now if I had offered trades, it would be a different story. I'd want you to post whatever you have, and it could have been more of a discussion thread.

Oh, and here is a picture of it since I received some PM's asking for one:

I also knocked another $4 off the price for MR members, increase the peace! $235 shipped, PM me if interested.
