This looks cool. But I can't tell if it's a midi controller. It seems that it is a USB audio device, according to the manual I found online. But I can't find anyting about midi data. Anyone know?

(Sorry I accidentally hit enter before I finished typing.)

Looks like it is NOT a midi controller. Or MIDI anything. Here's a response I got:

"
Thanks for writing to BEHRINGER technical support. The iAxe 393 USB-guitar offers USB-audio connectivity from the guitar to the computer (audio signal from the guitar's pickups via USB audio) as well as from the computer to the guitar (audio output from the computer via USB-audio to the headphone monitoring jack on the guitar so you can listen to output from the computer). The iAxe does not have any MIDI connectivity or functionality, it's strictly audio.

We hope that we have been able to help you with this information.

Best regards,

Your BEHRINGER Customer Support Team"

playing back computer audio through a guitar. yeah, i didn't see that one coming.

looking at their literature on the product, it *is* really ambiguous. i could easily see thinking it was a controller -- guess their marketing team needs to have another go-round.
