I had this for sale with the auction ending today, had my reserve price of $1799 achieved, and my account was hijacked 4 hours before the end. I have it re-enlisted. It's a black macbook with SUperdrive, 80GB HD, and 2GB of RAM. It's insanely fast, but I need a better GPU for my Halo addiction and the fact I use photoshop a great deal. If anyone is interested, here is its ebay auction page, or contact me via PM for an offer as well and I can end the auction early. I am sick of eBay.

i haven't used it with my hands very much at all. it sits on a stand and I use my keyboard and M$ Mouse. So wear and smudges are nonexistent.

just so you know it might be stopping people from bidding, but in yor auction its says2 gig ram and at the bottom says 512 ram 2x256and people tend to be weary of things like that.

well, this config coming from the apple store would cost $1999. I know it's an open box now, but I got that for it before. However, I may end up taking less if the guy that bidded $1799 before goes after a different one since it was closed from the hijacking. It was bought on September 16, 2006.

that's because apple rips customers off when it comes to RAM. fortunately for you, most eBayers won't know that 1799 is a rip off for 2gb of RAM upgrade.. you can get 2 gbs for $200 + a refurb blackbook (which is what yours is now, "technically") for $1300 = about $1600 after taxes.

BUT, like I said, eBayers are mostly dense, haha. I got $200 for an almost 2 year old 30gb iPod photo (more than what a refurb video would cost), and $1500 for a white macbook with a gig ram upgraded 3rd party.. never ceases to amaze me how much some people will pay!

good luck with the sale!

though, just FYI: if you're looking to sell it only to turn around and buy a MBP or iMac or something, you may want to go to Apple first. If you just bought it on the 16, you're within your two weeks. They're lenient about the "restocking" fee if you're looking to give them more money for a better system. Just another option! :)

well you must see, I am hoping the denseness of the ebay buyers comes through first before i go for a restocking fee. I have already bought a refurbished 2.16Ghz MBP for $1775 off an ebay company store, so that's a done deal. I just need to find that guy that was going to buy it for $1799.

ahh, well if you've already bought its replacement, then nevermind me. I meant if you going to be purchasing the new computer from apple - they often won't charge you the restocking fee if you're "upgrading" rather than simply returning.

i did think about it, but apple's refurbished 2.16ghz MBP are over 2k + tax. this was too good of a deal to pass up.

Simple friendly suggestion: make your eBay page look more 'worked in' (Spend an hour or two to add simple tables with well thought out colours, information, etc.) and it'll bring the potential overall in a lot more. A sale page like yours turn off a lot of potentials because of the simple copy/paste job..

Cheers.
