Why don't you post pictures of hijacked threads in the "Hijacked Threads" thread? There is already a thread on this.

That is easily a more annoying thing on MR.

Interested to see the poll results on this.

It really doesn't bother me ... I don't feel like I control or own a thread I start. In fact, I feel like most threads are entropic by nature -- even help threads.

I think it bothers me more when a poster starts a thread and then comes back repeatedly to demand that the thread return to its supposed purpose.

I suppose someone will now try to do just that in this thread.

Hijacking can be such a drag. It used to be that terrorists would just land somewhere, yell a lot, and let everyone go. Now they just blow up.
Bad sportsmanship, if you ask me.

Actually I think dynamicv was using TransparentType™, which is open source.
I am sending a cease and desist letter to TransparentType™ for trademark infringement, even though my ™ application hasn't been approved yet.

Having said that, there's a time and a place for highjacking a thread. It's a pain in the arse when used in the troubleshooting forums. In the community forums, I think it's mainly fine. :)
