The king's money must be running out... for his 50th jubilee he had these made:

Leica M6 Gold Golden Thailand Jubilee Celebration kits (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics-photography/Film-cameras/Vintage/auction-71476221.htm)

This has got to be one of the prettiest cameras ever made. In 1996 700 were made to commemorate the 50th, Golden Jubilee Celebration, of the reign of His Majesty King Bhumiphol Adulyadej of Thailand. The body and special 50/2 Summicron are 24-carat gold plated. They were offered for sale for US$10,000 each by the Chulalongkorn University Development Foundation, the funds to be used for environmental projects in Thailand. Serial numbers 2176001 to 2176700. As can be seen in the picture below, the camera, wooden presentation case, and the box, are all quite beautifully done.

I'd take one of those over 100 royal nanos.

Gold camera? Why? I wonder if I were rich, would I do things like that. Like Lil' John and his jewel studded chalice. So goofy.

I want 9999 iPod nanos!!:D

If he had bought 10000, would it have been unlucky?

Nah... since he would then be eligible for bulk purchase discount. Close but no cigar. :p

hehe or buy 99999999, then he could do something really useful with his money:
eg: 1 iPod per child campaign... special edition iPod with hand crank battery charger. :D and iTunes Tent Edition... ok I've got to stop!
