today I got my first Ipod, new, and when I turned it on it spewed chemicals onto my hands, What do I do?

it turned out that it was just the battery, I guess I should avoid dropping it again.

Seek medical attention if needed.

Take it back or call AppleCare. Accept nothing but a full refund or replacement.

Wow, are you actually being serious? The battery (lithium) would be the only thing that would do that, and I can't imagine it being corrosive.
