Apr 5, 2003, 01:28 PM

I just bought some memory for my MAC. it is the Kingston ValueRam DDR PC2100.

My computer is the Dual G4 867Mhz MDD and has 768MB of RAM from Apple.

I just wanted to know if this new ram will be fine in my system?

Has anybody tryed this type before?

Should I return it and buy some Ram from Apple?

if i mix dfferent RAM companies will this cause any problems?

Thanks for the help

I can't remember of hand whether that type of ram works but, I find this (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/5968) is one of the most useful utilities i've found for finding out what would/should/can be added to work with your mac - past or present.

You could also look here: http://www.info.apple.com/support/applespec.html

It has all the specs for all of Apple's products. Just find yours in the list and it should tell you what type of RAM your system takes.
