Font Problems

In Safari(only on some web pages) and in other Applications such as iChat, the font is appearing as random glyphs. I have tried switching the fonts I use, and nothing changes. I have also tried to see if something was wrong in International. Like I said before, I do not think this is a specific font problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is how it appears in iChat (I am the one in graphite):

Yes, I have installed fonts recently, but I did validate them... The font I am using is not a new font either. I guess I will check that the validation went through, because it was a large font installation that I went through.
 
I resolved the duplicates also... and just did both again, and no progress yet. I exited out of the applications that I was using... I will restart the computer, and see if that changes it.
