Okay-- I know this is probably a stupid question, but I need to ask it anyways.

I have a 2.0ghz iMac G5, but would really love to get a Mac Mini (Intel) for the whole home theater thing. However, I do edit a little DV from time to time and was wondering how big a difference I would see between the two. I know the monitor resolution is different, but I'm wondering about the actual workflow of video editing with Pro Apps and compression. Would the Mini's lack of a graphics card hurt it too much?

Sound off please.

Thanks

Depends on what the specs of the mini are. If it is Core Duo, with plenty of ram, it will outperfom the G5 with video editing. My MacBook flies with it encoding whereas the iMac G5 just takes it's time.
