For those who now a little technical details about cameras.
You know that in most cameras you have the option of printing the date on to the photo.
How is this done?

It all matters upon whether or not your camera has the feature. If it does, there should be a "date" button on it. Press it until the lcd displays the date. That's how I have my Canon working...
Hopefully this helps you out

I know how it is activated, I just want to know how it prints it upon the film.

There is a little led display in the camera back and it basically turns on for a brief moment, burning the date on the film when you take a pic. Quite simple.

Cool, but now with the Minolta Dynax (Maxxum) 7 the time and date (along with some other info) stores it electronically!
No more ugly red prints on the film.

Ah, well, I never liked it and on the one camera I have that has that option (my small Canon ELF) I never used it. Always annoying.

I always hated the look of those LED date displays.
I'm glad they were intelligent enough to include so much capability in the digital camera picture formats. I don't even have to write down exposure settings because they are automatically stored with the picture! :)
