hey, this is my first time posting to macrumors after reading around. I've searched the net and yet to find out how to do something on Final Cut Express.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to Blend two videos together to make it seem like you've 'cloned' yourself. so that if you took two videos and blended them together it would look like you were talking to another image of yourself...
I know that didnt make complete sense, but hopefully you'll make sense of it..
Any help at all would be welcome :) thanks.

Blad3.

Behind the lens
if you want to talk to yourself on screen, like Michael Keaton in Multiplicity....then you have ALOT of work to do.

Choose your location.

Use a tripod, of course.

Shoot video of "ONE self", keeping on one side of the screen.

Shoot video of "TWO self", keeping on the other side of the screen.

Now, import BOTH videos as seperate vids.

Put each on its own layer in the timeline.

Double click one of the vids, it will open in the canvas (left window)

Under the tab "basic motion" is a crop tool.

Crop the video so that only HALF (or whatever) of the video is showing.

Now youll have two videos, both with the EXACT same background, but one of them is only showing the half of the screen where the other YOU is.

Does that make sense?
