QUICK QUESTION!! What's a good all in one chat client??

I'm looking to find a good all-in-one, skinable chat client. Got any suggestions? I found something called fire....is that a good one?
 
so ur looking for like a combo aol program with msn yahoo aol...

get adium thats what I use.... I hope thats what u were asking for
 
Any word on voice or video support in Adium?

I love the app, but I actually do use my iSight to chat with my folks, and I'd love to be able to do it in Adium.

From what people say, the Adium guys are planning on keeping the app simple, and I guess voice/video support would complicate things too much.

No, there isn't. Use iChat or Skype.

It will come eventually, it's being worked on but still a looong way from finished.

Makes sense. In the age of overly "feature" laden apps, that's certainly a worthwhile goal.

I guess I'll just keep using two apps...
 
i thought i read somewhere that adium 1.0 will have video (or at least audio) support. perhaps i was incorrect or i want it so badly i made it up!

using 2 programs isn't bad, though. i rarely do a video chat, but when i do it's not a hassle to open up iChat.

Nope, no voice or video yet. But it's still in beta, who knows someone could whip something out and surprise us all 😉
