Same here. I wouldn't say hideous, but it definitely seems to turn the feeling from her laying there facing you to her creepily crawling at you.

Not that hard, use the pen tool in PS to outline the shape. Inner Shadow it, add the Apple logo, and put a pattern on a black background.

well, since my powerbook has developed an issue with a temp sensor and thinks it's going into meltdown every 10mins i'm currently stuck with using my gaming PC for everything and it's driving me nuts :eek:

So much so i'm sorely tempted to get a macbook, or maybe the new entry level mbp, it's only £150 more than a hotted up macbook... :rolleyes:

Each to his own, of course, but I don't see the appeal of MenuShade. I mean, having to wait a second for the menu bar to reappear before you can use it, just for the sake of the odd times your desktop is clear and you want to stare at it without a menu?

It works instantly for me. I also use 'SpiritedAway' which hides any open applications, other than the one you are working on, it gives me a 100% uncluttered desktop all the time.

Works pretty efficiently for me, I have to say. Each to his own though, as you said.
