First of all, I am soooo glad I went for the 30" screen instead of the 23". It blows me away every time I look at it! I was watching a film earlier (The Negotiator) on it and I kept staring at the screen instead of the film, admiring it!!

Anyway, I digress, is there any way to control the brightness of an ACD whilst using Windows or to turn the display off? I'm sure I read about a utility a while ago that let you do these things in Windows but I can't for the life of me find it. I haven't sorted out my hard drives yet so any downloading that's meant for Windows has to be done in Windows at the moment so I'm leaving my machine on in Windows overnight. I hate leaving it with the screen on wasting power and ever so slightly using up the display's lifetime. Short of pulling the power cord out, what can I do? The ACDs don't seem to respond to Windows when it tells them to go into stand by mode.
