ok I'm using sentui or w/e for ripping though I think my ipod is messed up when I plug it in and go to the ipod in itunes all my songs are like faded grey and by where it shows how much room left there is a little lock

ps its configured for windows and this happend to on my windows machine but i thought nothing of it untill now when im trying to rip the sogs to my macbook and I know i could use a USB flash drive to transfer instead but i cant because recently broke my windws machine by accident so I only have my ipod

Maybe post a screen shot of what you mean. What you describe is how the iPod should look from iTunes, but not from Senuti.

This means your iPod is on Auto-Sync mode. Meaning you can't manually do anything to your iPod. Go to your iPod and hit manually manage music, and go to the music tab and deselect "Sync Music". Should clear up your problem.
