Hey all,

New member. Question: If I had a Dell (h8ed) desktop and a Linksys router, then if I bought a MacBook, will the Wifi in the MacBook be able to connect itself to the signal from the router in my house?

Or do I need to replace the Linksys with an AirPort and then connect the Airport to the Windows (h8ed) PC?

Thanks in advance.

Assuming your linksys router is 802.11b/g, it will probably work just fine.

If you want a definite answer, we'll need a router model number. :)

I have a similar setup at home. Dell PC, Powerbook, and Linksys WRT54G - no problems whatsoever.

Thanks. That's the model number I have and I was looking for some similar experiences.

Appreciate it.

Anybody have any problems with a setup like this one?
