"stuffit expander unexpectedly quit"

thanks to billicus for responding to my last question--i ended up obtaining a cd from someone of the 10.2.4 upgrade....BUT NOW....when i try to open or download this upgrade, i get a message "stuffit expander unexpectedly quit"---what does this mean, and how can i fit this?--
