With any luck my Mac Pro should be arriving tomorrow. I ordered it with just the standard one 250GB hard drive and am planning on buying a secondary drive for installing Windows XP. Does anyone have any suggestions for fast/quiet hard drives? This secondary drive will mainly be storing game installs so it's not necessary for it to be huge. Right now I'm looking at this $79 250GB SATA drive from New Egg. 5 stars and 700 reviews!

I just bought a couple of Seagate 320GB drives (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148140) from them. Quiet and fast, and only $15 more than the 250GB one you mentioned.

Thanks for the link. I'll check that out.

Does anyone know the make and model of the 250GB drive that comes installed in the machine? I might try to duplicate it and then have two 250s for a future RAID as storage needs continue to grow and prices come down.
