Stop mail from showing attachments as images?

I know there is something on MR about this and I has spent ages looking for it but I cant friggin find it.

Anyhoo... How do i stop Apple Mail from displaying attachments as images? I just want to see icons as its taking ages to generate the images and costing me a lot of time throughout the day.

You would think this would be a preference setting in mail but unfortunately it's not. The only solution I can think of is: this - the downside, it will set you back a couple of squids.
 
Hmmm...? I thought there was a setting I could choose in Prefs - although its not very obvious as to what it is. 😕 Im sure i saw a post a few days ago about it.

Thanks for the link however I doubt I will use it.

EDIT: Ive had a good snoop around Mail and cant find anything. Maybe I just imagined it! Oh well off to the Apple Feedback/Feature Request page I go. Again!
