To send files on MSN Messenger, what port do I have to open?
Cause I have airport right now and when I try and send files, it says that I can't, and usually, I really need to send files cause they are too big to send via email.

Have you updated to v3.5? In v3 I could never send/recieve files, in v3.5 it works perfectly.

yes i have upgraded. and it started to not work when i installed the wiereless network

I'm not sure where I found this, but opening ports 6891-6900 allows file sharing to work in the 3.5 version of Messenger.

The source info. referred to v3.0, but the info is valid for v.3.5. I could never get file sharing to work with v3.0, but opening those ports in OS X's firewall lets the data through! Now just to figure out how to open up those ports via the router instead of disconnecting it...
