I'm confused...

I think it's spam.

Lol. This is the first spam I've seen in this section. :D

Technically it's a "deal" rather than spam because it's user-submitted rather than company-submitted.

Why is it a good deal again? Who even uses "CD-ROM" drives in this day and age?

Clicking the link sent me to digg.com. Such a shame to see this kind of advertising infiltrate these forums... :(

Interesting to see what passes for "news" these days.

We've had plenty (http://www.macbytes.com/mb.php?catdispid=17) of "deals" in the past, it's not a new concept :)

I personally wouldn't have approved this one :p, but I can see why it was done.

Talk about hitting a low. Good one MacBytes.

Hey, some people might actually get a good deal out of this.

At least it's a) relevant and b) properly titled, so people know exactly what it is and aren't clicking it expecting a news item.

It's not like there's thousands to leaf through to find news.

128 Meg Sticks! That means I can fit a gig of ram in my computer! Who would ever use a gig of ram!? That's insanity! And I can fill up every one of my DIMM slots for only 80$ which is the cost of a single 1 GB DIMM! I'll look so cool with all my DIMM slots filled out.

This should never have made it past the Submit screening.
