Best place to buy RAM online?

Can anyone recommend a place to buy cheap, but reliable memory for my macbook pro? Preferably with international shipping available... My local computer stores are charging way too much!

it would help to know what country you are in, atm in the UK dabs and PC World offer good prices/quality (well I dunno about PCW but it can't be that bad (I'm getting mine from them) ), scan.co.uk offer excellent prices but as far as I can see bad service. All of these come to between £140 and £185, my local computer shops are charging £250 which is stupidly high.

Have you tried Crucial? They've always given excellent service to me and been competitively priced too.

I purchased my 1x1GB stick at datamem.com. I have seen lots of good reviews of datamem, owc, and even crucial (IF you can get a low price. see posts on price 'fixing').
I would first find the exact/best memory for your mac and then price all 3 places and go with the cheapest (with comparable warranties).
I have read posts here that suggest that memory prices will fall after this demand surge slows (Apple's current upgrades and pending release of vista is driving higher amounts of ram than just 3 months ago).

My experience tells me that going with the cheapest RAM module is asking for trouble. This is potentially more problematic if you're dealing with a dealer who isn't mac-friendly/aware as there are subtle differences in some memory modules and macs can be picky.

In the past, I've twice (shame on me) made the mistake of buying the cheapest module and twice paid for it in time and energy exchanging it for another module under warranty within the first week or two. This can be especially frustrating when the module seems to work initially but then results in an unstable system that crashes periodically.

Personally, I always go for a name-brand (Samsung, Kingston). Generally, you'll see these offered side-by-side to the generic brand and they only cost a few dollars more. I usually buy memory from MacSolutions.com because they know macs, have given me good service in the past and are generally competitive on price.

Memory prices are crazier than oil - there is no real explanation of why they are high now and at other times low.

www.datamem.com is a good place - cheaper than crucial and free ship and no tax..for me anyway...;)
