View Full Version : MacWhispers reliability?

Did MacWhispers totally nail the iPod docking station or what? I know they didn't get the description right when they updated -- they still overanalyzed to "out-scoop" everyone but they certainly had the details on the enclosure and production dates right, eh?
How many hit singles does a dropout website have to have before their info starts ending up on page one again? Certainly a "just the facts" standard in reporting from MW would filter out their crappy guessing (which they swore off, but now surprisingly appear to be going at again  ).
I wish they would uphold their promise to change the format; their info is obviously solid but far from reliable for standalone analysis.

I was pretty sure that's what these reports were talking about, the hollow white plastic enclosure:

At 5.2 x 7.4 x .97 inches - I don't think so.
The iPod is only 4 x 2.4 x .78 inches.
The USB/Firewire cable - maybe...

- It is 132mm high, 188mm wide, and 24.6mm thick.
- The front face is completely open, other than a 7.5mm bezel.
- The top edge has an 18mm x 106mm recessed well (no door). The recessed surface is 7mm deep, and is being molded with 4 through-holes for PCB-mounted connectors.
I was thinking if it lays flat this would make sense. Apple wouldn't have you dock the iPod upside down, would they?

heh... well, it's silly to argue the accuracy of one rumor based on another rumor. :)

Good for you arn! ;)
The truth can only come from Apple! What we need are facts or a valid rumor site such as MacOSRumors!
