Hey guys,

Help! I burn a great deal of cdrs....analog tape to Toast or Peak...then burned to a 24time LaCie external....using a Pismo Firewire....I alternate between OS X and 9.2.2....

The problem....repeating tracks...I THINK it happens at high speeds only...but I'm not sure.......is it software? Incompatible discs???? I've been using Fujis......

Help!

Are you burning data or audio to the cd's??

Either way, in Toast, make sure that you have the buffer underrun protection active. If you are burning audio cd's, then try a lower speed (many people find that solves issues). If you suspect the blanks, then try a different brand. I have had excellent results (for data) with Imation, and good results (so far) with Memorex (for audio).

Are you allowing Toast to verify the burn, or skipping that step?

Which version of Toast are you running?? OEM (came with the burner) or retail? Retail usually has more features available to it, and could overcome your burning issues (of the computer nature).
