The nano keeps charging but theres no icon in itunes or on the desktop showing its there. i tried doing what apple.com says which is reset the nano, restart computer, delete and download itunes, and it still wont recognize it. what should i do???

help please
thanks

Are you trying to use a firewire cable to connect the iPod? That doesn't work and will only charge the iPod.

no, i am using the same usb cable that i used before and its always worked untill now

i've tried different cable and different port, i also restarted the computer and restarted the ipod, it still doesnt work

well when i go to the ipod updater it asks me to connect and ipod, it doesnt recognize it either

Is this the iPod Updater in iTunes or is it a separate app? Since iTunes 7.0, iPod's firmware is managed through iTunes rather than the separate iPod Software Updater. 🙂
