I too recommend Netgear. After using > 200 of their routers, hubs, switches and ethernet cards, the only failure I have had was a fan went south. It was on a 16 port hub, which still works, after 6 years of the fan failure (never fixed it).

also, (although "pointless") a large number of their models are released in a white/clear/silver plastic case that looks very attractive next to a mac :D

i LOVE my netgear wireless G and B routers. I also love airport express.

but airport gives issues = love/hate relationship.

netgear = flawless

I assume you're looking to upgrade to a "wireless G" router? If you already have Linksys receivers on your network, I'd buy Linksys to ensure compatibility.

The WRT54G is a great router. I'd stay away from D-Link, but Linksys and Netgear both seem to fare pretty well. If you already have other Linksys stuff, get another Linksys to ensure compatibility.

I'm gunna jump on the Linksys WRT54G bandwagon. I use a lot of Linksys kit and, despite needing some firmware updates along the way, the hardware is solid.

I have the AirPort Extreme. It works very nicely. Just lacking on ports. Serves up wireless internet, and the single network port serves my Xbox 360 for Xbox Live. ;)

love my linksys 54g, but setup using a mac is not what it should be... read about it here: http://trialsoftheswitch.com/index.php/2006/09/30/25/

You want one of the routers at the top of the charts from this Tom's Hardware test.
