being a pc guy until only a few years ago, i used the IBM iterations for almost my whole life. every time i bought a computer that came with accessories, i'd throw them in with the rest of the cheapies and use my nice ibm keyboard.
it's still alive, i just need a usb adapter [plus it doesn't have an apple key :p]
also a nice note: this keyboard has survived about 3 ice tea spills and numerous water spills!

I didn't realize it before, but I've got one of these keyboards on my Mac II. I'm sure they're durable, but I don't really like the way it feels while typing at all.

Although I liked the IBMs (never had a chance to try the Apple) I now prefer the laptop like scissor cut keyboards. (ice-key from macally) Easier to type on and very hard to not push a key down all the way.

My theory is, you get used to a keyboard and don't want to change.
I loved the Sun4 keyboard with the function keys packed close above the number keys (not a long reach) and extra function keys on the left, and the control key where God Always Intended It To Be.
So I bought an adapter and still use it on my PC today. I'm thinking about trying a USB one for a Mac.

I have 3 of those keyboards in a closet. Built like a tank, except for the height/tilt adjustment.
