But enjoy from a distance ;) you don't want to get attached to something that *may* break again (who was it that's on their 5th, 6th replacement?)

when did you get the one that broke?

I got mine on launch last year and i was just wondering if a new one is any quieter/cooler, but if you had a newer one already then it will be kinda hard to compare :D

^Really because I can't play mines at night without my housemate knocking on my wall cussing at me. I wonder if they would replace mines if I send it in..naa my x360 might start acting up.

Good to hear you got yours back...enjoy

What a jag! I'd tell him to jump off a moving truck.

twoodcc, how long did it take you to get your replacement? Just out of curiosity, that is.

That seemed like an awful long turn around time. Or maybe I'm still delirious from getting laid off yesterday?

Hope it works buddy. I haven't had a problem with my third unit yet.

out of curiousity, what did you do Oni? It seems like a lot of people are being laid off lately....

I didn't do anything. It was a company wide layoff. Over 100 employees nationwide. My department wasn't supposed to be affected at all, given that we needed MORE people. But two out of 10 of us were axed, and a lot of the people I knew and enjoyed in other divisions were laid off as well. A couple of 10-15 year employees were laid off too. The company is in a downward spiral as they can't get their heads out of their asses. December would have been my 3rd year there, and I was one of the best mediators they had. My boss started crying when I came out of the office with the HR rep and the lawyer, and hugged me and kept saying "I had no idea." It was surreal, to say the least.

So, do me and yourselves all a favor. Should you purchase a home in the united states, do NOT get a 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty.

our XBOX 360 has stopped working due to a "disk reader" error. We called to send in it to get fixed and they told us that its going to be $200 dollars. Are you guys paying this, or are they taking them back for free? I heard there was a recall, but only for the 05 models....can someone clarify, because I want to start playing again soon.

I believe there is a 3-6 month warranty on all xboxes. They're trying to charge you 200 bucks? To hell with that. that's robbery. Also, the repair program is only for 360's purchased before Jan 1st, 2006.

I didn't mean what did you do to get fired, I meant what type of job did you do. I don't think you did something to deserve being fired!

But damn man, that sucks. Low man on the seniority totem pole? Hopefully you can get a good job elsewhere. Did you get paid off at least? or just laid off?

it wasn't too bad. i think if they can't fix it within ten days, they just send you a new one. they said on the phone 10 days, and it was around that
