Broken hard drive or bad optical drive or no memory okay. I need a mini! But no Intel. PowerPC G4s only. Thanks!

Just curious, but why PPC only?

I can't boot an iBook in Target disc mode easily off an Intel Mini, as far as I know.
If I can boot an iBook off an Intel Mini, let me know!

I don't see that there would be a problem. In the past I've booted up an Intel iMac in Target Disc Mode when it was hooked up to my Cube, and used it as a DVD drive for it. Maybe you meant something else, though, and I'm confused?

I mean booting up an iBook in Target Disc Mode so I can read the iBook's hd through a mini and the mini's larger screen...

Correct. He wants to boot off the iBook while the iBook is in Target Disk Mode... and an Intel Mac mini would require the Intel version of MacOS X to be installed, and it is not. So he does need a PPC Mac mini to continue to boot off the iBook's hard drive.
I've got a used 1.42GHz Mac mini, working fine with 40GB hard drive and a combo drive and 512MB RAM. I was asking $450 (so I had room to negotiate)... but I'll take $400 shipped. These are still going on ebay for almost $450 and over for some reason.

Hey there,
I have a PPC 1.25ghz Mini with Combo Drive, and 1gb RAM that I'll let go for $325 shipped. They are about this on ebay, but most have 512 RAM, so it's like getting an extra 512 for free =)

The iBook RAM you sent me is still running great inside of the iBook. :D My mom uses the iBook for email mainly. Thanks again, and I'll keep you in mind and keep an eye out for when I get around to getting money to max the thing out to 640.
