Anyone have a set of broken or worn out ipod headphones that they're willing to part with? Let me know what you'd like for them.
I'm in NYC if anyone local has a pair.

I have about 3 pairs, various different problems. You pay shipping from the UK to the US and you can have as many as you want.

I have two pairs, one pair has a cracked bud and the other is all messed up. I can part with them for $4 plus actually shipping, which will prob be cheaper than UK shipping!
Thanks and let me know!

Hi
Curious, how does that work? 99% of the time speaker / headphone failure is due to excessive volume, which isn't a manufacturing defect. Well, 97% maybe a better... 1% goes to have the family pet chewing on them but that also isn't Apple's fault. 1% to other damage.

Nope. Actually nothing of the sort. I just want to be able to use my Nike+ without headphones occassionally (most races won't let you wear headphones), but I'm pretty certain the Nike+ doesn't work w/o headphones plugged in (like the ipod pausing when they get pulled out). I just want to clip the jack off a pair so I can plug it in and not mess with cords on my run.

I'm happy to. Can you tell me how much it would cost to toss them in an envelope to NYC (zip code is 10003)? Or tell me your zip code and I'll try to get a quote.

Thanks, but I'm not quite ready to shell out $4 plus shipping for broken headphones. I was really hoping someone might be willing to toss a pair in an envelope for a buck or two. I'll get back to you if I change my mind though, since shipping from england appears to be silly expensive.

Just go to Radio shack and buy a right angle adapter plug, or size adapter. You should be able to pick one up for <$5 and it might actually be useful for something else.

No, it actually should work fine. When I first got mine, I didn't have good headphones I liked yet, so I just set it to what I wanted, hit the center button and ran. It worked like normal. It's just when you start with headphones and pull them out that it'll pause. If you start without them, it should work.

That was actually my first thought, but I couldn't find one that was small and unobtrusive.

Good to know. I'll have to try it out.
