I heard a rumor that macrumors is closing due to not enough money to keep it going from advertisers, is this true, it would be sad to see it go.

Since I don't believe in coincidences, I have a suspicion this rumour is confused with:
macOSrumors.com
which always posts a message that they desperately need money.
What do you have to say Arn?

Now THAT would be funny.
There's enough money to keep Macrumors up and running. So you don't need to worry.
But if you are worried, you could always contribute and send a few bucks to arn...though it isn't necessary.

sounds like BS to me. I think if timme was really tiggt for Arn since he knows how much we all love thhe site he might start a dnation drive or something like that. Also he has not updated tthe MR store in a while so if he was really hurting for cash at the moment he would trying every gimmick in the book.

I smell something, and it ain't my poop either!
Like everyone else said, provide a source for your "info." I've never heard of any financial trouble with this site, so I'm seriously doubting there's a possibility of it shutting down due to lack of funds. There's a handful of demi's in line, ready to make their 2003 contribution currently, and we're not being leaned on for the cash. ;)

Thank you arn for your expert management of this site. We also owe gratitude to those that use the fine sponsors of this site and our demi gods.
So I guess we will have to wait to see if it is MacOSRrumors.com!

Every one of the Demi-Gods are so named because they have contributed to the site by buying a MacRumors Mug (or donated money in some cases). I'm sure if it came down to it, there would be enough support from the community to keep it running.
I don't you have to worry about MacRumors going anywhere soon.

You can still smell with all the gases and vile waste that you seemingly excrete!?
I think this rumor is much like most of the others that the site as been inundated with lately. Totally false and more then just a little bit misleading.
