i bought my 24" imac with applecare online.

do i need to receive the applecare box and register it myself or does apple register it automatically for me?

do i need to do anything then? register my serial or something?

You'll receive the AppleCare box separately and you'll have to register it along with the iMac online. Instructions will be included with the box...it's very easy.

i got the computer 4 days after i ordered it. should i expect the applecare box at a later date? i never received a tracking number for it

Probably...the last time I ordered a machine and AppleCare together, the AppleCare arrived first, but the computer took a little while to arrive since I ordered it on the day it was released. You can always give Apple a ring and ask them when you can expect to receive the AppleCare, but I might give it a couple more days. There's no real rush on it...you have a year to register everything.

alright, i'll keep that in mind.

this 24" is mindblowing. i love it. i'm glad i don't have any stuck pixels and my airport works fine!! :D
