All,

I'm wondering if i should spend the extra and buy the wireless N Netgear router? It is supposed to handle up to 280mpbs. I will have a Macpro tomorrow and from what i understand the built in Wireless/ BT card will only handle 54mpbs. But i have seen that in Win XP the new iMac's are showing them as having wireless N. Wonder if Macpro is same?

Is it worth spending the extra on a router like this? I will be using it for xbox 360, XP Gaming, Streaming iTv when it's out etc...

What do you think?

Thanks

Darren

With n not being fianlized yet what is the point? The specs could be changed forcing you dump your hardware and get another router. But from what I understand most companies that are making draft n products are planning firmware upgrades when finalized. Then the question arises that you posed -does the macpro use a wireless n running in g/b mode? I have the netgear wgr614v5 and it is more than enough for my needs around the house.
