I've been having problems opening certain websites that contain media content. Everytime i click a link to open such websites firefox or safari just suddenly quit. an example of that is the following website:
http://www.badongo.com/vid.php?file=funny__2006-02-20__.asf&d=1
Please copy and paste the link to your browser and see if your browser quits.
Can somebody help please?

That page doesn't come up for me so it might be the site itself. Is it happening on other sites?

None of my browsers are quitting, neither Firefox nor Safari.

yes it did happen to me with other sites but can't remeber their addresses. My guess however is that the browser quits if the website has a built-in windows media player..no too sure though.
I'll try to find another website example where my browser quits suddenly and post it here to check.
Osarkon is there a media player on that website?

Give Safari and whatever browser you are using a reset.

My Safari has quit on a couple of occasions, but that was on a few MySpace pages, so I imagine it was some media that caused the problem.

When I go to weather.com if I dont give it about 10-20 seconds to load up the zillions of commercials and the Maps it will do the same. Perhaps you may want to use Firefox and see if it does alittle better.

Hobbit, do you have the Flip4Mac WMV QuickTime Plug-in installed? I found my browser-crashing problems reduced on media-heavy sites after installing it.

Yes i do have Flip4mac installed, haven't noticed much difference though. Anyway, i can only presume that browsers are quitting suddenly due to media content incompatible with mac. If anyone knows a solution for this please let us know.
