Oh my god, ok, so one day I checked my battery capacity and it was good at 81% still. Then a few days later, I realized when i plugged in my adapter it wasn't working properly, I would have to twist and twist and put on angles just to get a green charing light. A few days later i checked my battery capacity again and it's at 60%. Now, It's almost impossible to get the right angle to charge my laptop and when it says 20 minutes left on my battery the computer just shuts down automatically and when I boot up it says the date is sometime in 1969. Any ideas ? :(

Thank you Jah...I'm so Blessed
Looks like your computer power connector is messed up and that might need a trip to apple if you are not good at getting inside your ibook. I would suggest calling apple..do you have applecare?

Bless

Sounds to me like it is a defective battery. Check to see on Apple's site if your iBook battery is one that was on a recall list for iBooks. When I worked as a Mac tech specialist for the school district here at home I had almost 200 iBook batteries that were recalled a year ago. I'll post again if I can find the info for the iBooks.

Hope this helps... :)

Here's a iBook battery recall link from Apple's support site...

Ok, my battery is completely dead now, and it's almost impossible to keep the laptop going since it has to sit in one place or the power cord doesn't work. Sigh, I'm going to take it to the Apple Store tomorrow and hopefully someone can help me.
