I'm having some network troubles so my problem might be related to that, but has anyone else noticed that the pages sometimes seem to download but avoid displaying themselves for a few seconds. It's a bit weird. If I click on a link, it'll show the streak of blueness head through the URL bar, get to the other side (finish), but wait a while (still showing the original page) before suddenly displaying the linked page. Weirdness.

As I said though, it might be a problem my end. :o

Can't login from IE on the Mac? Good work arn, force more to switch to Safari/Firefox/Camino.

I like the idea of multi-quote, I have often cobbled multi-quotes together with copy and paste. I do also think that in some situations, being able to quote somebody along with what they are quoting can often be helpful, (to help put your comments in context), but as I have been and even moderated other boards that allow this, it can get far too out of control.

Good work to all involved.

Not for me. I'm not talking about the forums here. If I'm at the Mac Rumors home page and I click on the number 2003 on "Apple releases c2d mbp" thread under Mac Rumors articles, it takes me to the first unseen page in that thread, just as WildCowboy spotted. Previously, it would have taken me to post #2003.
Though it is nice that it remembers where I'm up to.

edit.
Forgot to quote MacNut's first reply and can't work out how to retrospectively quote.

It sounds as though you're not logged into the forums when it takes you to the final post in the thread and otherwise, positions you at the first unread, as it's supposed to do.

(If you don't quote originally, you can only do it manually--quote, copy, back, edit, paste.)

You're absolutely right, I only log in when I post, and I've never noticed the different behavior. Thanks for that, and for the advice about quoting.

no the behavior has changed. VB 3.6 changed the behavior of the "lastpost" link - in that it not longer seems to work. So "newpost" is what works... which probably makes more sense but people aren't used to it.

Don't know if this is because of the upgrade, but right now I get a 'page icon' instead of the rolleyes gif .... it could be that this thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=242989&highlight=rolleyes) scarred him away!

Try emptying your cache.

That did the trick, funny but in almost 3 years of being here that hasn't happened before. Thanks!

I dunno if others are getting the same but when not logged on, the forums display strangely. I don't have a screenshot but it almost appears like the first post appears above the advertisements. This has occurred on a few different machines/browsers/platforms. Craziness.

I'm guessing these are related?
