Is there any way to connect a creative zen xtra MP3 player to a mac and get the music off it?

What software is normally used to transfer music to Creative MP3 players? Seems that would be your answer, if there's a Mac version of that software. 😕

Non-Zen specific suggestions:

Many MP3 players with USB show up in the Finder when plugged in -- if it does then just drag and drop the MP3 files.

Or if it has a flash memory card, transfer the MP3 files to the card and then to a card reader

The Xtra uses the pre-MTP Creative-specific transfer protocol, so it's different from the Zen Vision M and the Micro Photo. XNJB should work though.

Failing that, you can install Boot Camp on a FAT32 partition (i.e. <32gb) and use MediaSource to copy the files over, then boot into OS X and copy the files off the Windows partition.

I know iTunes doesnt support creative players, thats not the issue. XNJB never seems to load my library, despite being listed on the supported list on the web site. Oh well, im sure something will turn up.
