12" iBook G3 900MHz

I'm debating about parting with my beloved iBook G3. I could use the extra cash for a few things, so I figure it's worth a shot to get offers/price points.

Specs:
900MHz G3 PowerPC Processor
12" Screen
40gb HD (4200RPM I Believe)
384mb SDRAM (128mb Built In And A 256mb Stick)
Combo Drive (Reads CDs/DVDs, Writes CDs)
Airport Wireless Card Installed
2 Batteries Both Hold At Least 2:30 Charge
Great Condition, New Logic Board And Top Casing (3 Months Old)

I've babied this thing since I got it and it's been lightly used (only by me and friends for web surfing/email/IM).

Comes with all listed above, and the AC charger of course, no original box sorry :( - shipped via UPS Ground or faster (at buyer's expense), payments via PayPal ONLY.

Now, as for a price: I have one in mind, but I'd rather take offers.

If you have ANY questions please ask me!

The Apple iBook "900" features a 900 MHz PowerPC 750fx (G3) processor with a 512k on-chip level 2 cache, 128 MB of RAM, a 40.0 GB Ultra-ATA hard drive, an 8X/24X/10X/24X DVD/CD-RW Combo drive, and a 2X-AGP ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 graphics card with 32 MB of DDR video memory in an ultrasleek case with a 12.1" TFT XGA active-matrix display. The Apple iBook "900" is very similar to the earlier iBook "800", and shares the same case, bus, "AirPort" wireless networking, FireWire, AV, dual USB, RGB output, S-Video output, microphone, and stereo speakers, but has a faster processor as the name difference implies. This series is enough like the previous series that Apple didn't issue a new press release.

Yes it was hence why the top case was replaced, the speakers were bad, so they were replaced with new parts seeing as I had 90 days warranty coverage after the logic board replacement.

For the record, I've used this machine extensively, and must say it's a nice little laptop. The logic board (IIRC) and the top case are all brand new, and the machine is in overall astonishing condition physically.

Yup, top case and logic board are definitely brand new, you were here when I took the plastic wrap off the top casing. I have to say, out of all the iBook G3's I've owned (I have a fetish you could say) that this is the best one, both physically and functionally.

I'd sell the wireless card seperately if you don't get your price. Good luck.

(<3 Multiquote) Thanks I quite like it, and if I don't get any bites or a good sale price I was thinking about parting out the Airport card :).

is 400$ unreasonable? theres a lot of ram missing there which could be the set back. ill check, i may have a family member who could use this. i could also do without the airport and the ram (my ibook is dead, needs a new logic) and i could use the old stuff and sell whats left of the oldie. looks great though!

Well I just paid $300 for almost the same laptop ($350, but that includes postage to the UK) mine just does not have Airport and has only 256Meg o' RAM, so I guess looking for about $400 would be about right

This would be a wonderful gift for my mother but I'm a bit scarce of money at the moment due to a few recent purchases. Beautiful iBook though.

I thought you had an offer for $430? You're eBaying it for 20 bucks more, when now you're going to incur more fees?

edit: er, it just changed from BIN $450 to $500. That's quite ambitious of you - good luck!

I have such a high BIN to encourage people to submit reasonable offers, and raising it form $450 to $500 ended up being $1.20 in fees but whatever.

Although if somebody DOES pay $500 then wow.
